National Council of State Leaders
Over the past several years, the Turner Syndrome Foundation has received numerous pleas for regional resources and assistance for professional providers and consumers alike. In an effort to meet this demand, the National Council of State Leaders has been organized.
The Turner Syndrome Foundation's National Council of State Leaders are volunteers organized and devoted to improving the lives of patients affected by Turner Syndrome. This council has evolved in response to the urgent call for leadership and access to specialized care. The purpose of the council is to provide a greater understanding of Turner Syndrome to reduce the age of diagnosis, to improve quality of care practices, and to improve longterm outcomes for all baby girls born with this complex, and often misunderstood, chromosomal condition.

Kudos to Kim Perry and her daughter, Ashley, for their awareness efforts in Alaska. Ashley was chosen as the Children's Miracle Network's Champion to represent Alaska in both Washington, DC and Florida. Her mom, Kim, is a parent advocate and she along with her friends at Turner Syndrome Foundation couldn't be more proud of Ashley's message of hope and strength.

Team TSF in Idaho!
Support Team TSF
I originally contacted TSF to become a team member on an existing team, then discovered there was a need for involvement in the inland Northwest. I love to run and wanted to use this hobby to benefit something near and dear to me, and since my oldest daughter has TS, we also saw a gap in an organized TS community in our area. I contacted a number of different races, and chose the Coeur d'Alene marathon for a number of reasons. 1) it is closest to me (just an hour away) and 2) the Race Director has been very accommodating and willing to allow us to become a part of her event. 3) the race is over a holiday weekend in a resort town and is a destination race for people from all over the US and Canada.
Contact Becky Haag for additional information, to become a Team member, or to help with a meet and greet over Memorial Day weekend in northern Idaho. Phone or text (text preferred) 208-946-1484 or email (preferred method) bphaag@gmail.com . Or you can message me on facebook: Becky Pruitt Haag. Stella and I look forward to meeting you!
